JOB WELL DONE
Malcolm Stewart completed his fill-in
role on the Autotrader/Yoshimura Su-
zuki Team. He's been standing in for
the injured Justin Bogle. It wasn't the
best of nights for Stewart in Las Vegas
but, overall, he did well on the team.
"The goal was to end the supercross
series with another top-10 finish,"
said Stewart. "I was feeling good
on the track, which had some really
high-speed sections. I crashed while
running third in my heat race. It took
the wind out of my sails. Anyway, I'm
thankful for the Autotrader/Yoshimura
Suzuki Factory Racing Team for giving
me the opportunity in supercross. It
has been fun." Team manager Jeremy
Albrecht, said, "We're providing him
with a Suzuki RM-Z450 for the sum-
mer." Stewart will most likely sit out
the outdoor national championship,
unless, perhaps, another opportunity
arises, like he has the past few years.
TOUGH ONE
Of his three championships in the past
year, Zach Osborne said this one was
probably his most difficult. "I put a lot
into my winter, my bootcamp; when
these guys (west) started racing, I kept
riding four days a week and was just
grinding, because I wanted to come
in as prepared as possible. I maybe
came in a little bit flat, not really at my
tip-top. Also, after the first race, I had
a sit-down [with the AMA, because he
was on probation after his get-together
with Joey Savatgy last year at Las
Vegas] after a run-in with someone at
the first race and that kind of changed
my perspective on what I needed to
do, and that put me in a situation that
I've never been in, where I couldn't
go out there and give it 100 percent
all the time. I needed to be courteous
