Mischler (Cycle Craft Yamaha/
Rohde's Sales & Service,
Yamaha YZ450F) and Mischler
led the first lap with Luker, Kevin
Stollings (Roof Systems/Woody
Kyle Racing, Honda CRF450R)
and Brandon Price (Parkinson
Brothers Racing/DPC Racing,
Honda CRF450R) in tow.
Mischler would go on to lead
all the rest of the way, but he
was never able to gain much
separation. "This is only the sec-
ond time I've ridden the Yamaha
and it has so much power," said
Mischler.
The action behind him was
fierce. Stollings moved to
second on lap three, but was
quickly replaced by crowd fa-
vorite Shayna Texter (Husqvarna
Motorcycles/JCS Racing,
Husqvarna FC450). Texter
closed on Mischler and waited

GETTING BETTER
Another rider looking forward after
struggling for a year is Brandon Rob-
inson. "I'm really happy with the way
the progress is going with the team,"
said Robinson. "It was a rough start to
the season, but to get it turned around
here and the way Jarod rode so well
at Atlanta, it's showing some promise
with the XG platform. We're definitely
getting better. It hasn't been consis-
tent for all of us, or any one of us, but
we've all had decent runs so far. Once
we can sort that out, we can all con-
sistently be up towards the front. At
Atlanta I felt good all day Saturday and
then Sunday the track changed a lot
and I made some bad calls personally
on what I wanted. I tuned myself out of
the race, basically, is what happened.
Today we qualified well and we had
decent runs in the heat and semi."
CELEBRATION DAY
Briar Bauman was celebrating a lot
beside his second-place finish with his
girlfriend Shayna Texter taking second
in the Singles main and good friend
Chad Cose finishing behind him in
the Twins main. "I want to give a big
shout out to Shayna for just being a
warrior. She took second on a bike
that a lot of people question," said
Bauman. "I'm really proud of how hard
Shayna and her mechanics worked all
day long. I'm also proud of my buddy,
Chad Cose. He got his first podium. I
don't think anybody really understands
how much that means to somebody
that is doing it on their own with no
paycheck."
Briefly...
Morgen Mischler nabbed his
career-first win in the Singles main.
