A
s the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Super-
cross Series comes to a close, tempers
have begun to flare. Heading into the last
lap of the 450SX main event, Eli Tomac took the
lead from Marvin Musquin, who had led every
lap of the main, only for Musquin to take his first
opportunity to strike back, diving to the inside of
Tomac early on the final lap and colliding heavily
with the Kawasaki rider, putting Tomac down
hard. Tomac's KX450F tangled momentarily with
Musquin's KTM, mangling Tomac's throttle-side
grip, while Tomac just gave Musquin a sarcastic
thumbs-up as he roosted away to take his third
victory of the year.
Outside of the take-out move for the win,
though, the big story is that Jason Anderson,
who finished third behind Musquin and Tomac,
