After a weekend off—the only one of the series—the 2018 Monster
Energy AMA Supercross Championship returned to action in the
mud of the Pacific Northwest after a week of rain left the Seattle
Supercross track a sloppy mess.
Tomac won his heat race by almost 40 seconds over points
leader Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna), qualifying
him first for the main event, but it was Anderson who took the early
lead in the main before a fall relegated him to second. Tomac took
the win by about 10 seconds over Anderson, with Marvin Musquin
(Red Bull KTM) coming home third another 30 seconds back.
"It's just one of those tracks where you either have to ride it and
have fun or you're in misery," Tomac said, with a smile. "Today we
were having fun. That was by far the craziest supercross race I've
