otocross (and, by extension, supercross)
has always been a sport that runs rain
or shine, but with such a high percent-
age of supercross races being held in drought-
riddled California, or in covered stadiums, true
mud races rare in supercross. But ever since the
Seattle stop of the AMA Supercross Series was
moved out of the King Dome, and into the uncov-
ered Century Link Field, in April, the odds have
fallen heavily in favor of a messy event.
