SUPERCROSS MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS, AN FIM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 13 / APRIL 7, 2018 CENTURY LINK FIELD / SEATTLE, WASHINGTON P50 450SX After a weekend off—the only one of the series—the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship returned to action in the mud of the Pacific Northwest after a week of rain left the Seattle Supercross track a sloppy mess. Tomac won his heat race by almost 40 seconds over points leader Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna), qualifying him first for the main event, but it was Anderson who took the early lead in the main before a fall relegated him to second. Tomac took the win by about 10 seconds over Anderson, with Marvin Musquin (Red Bull KTM) coming home third another 30 seconds back. "It's just one of those tracks where you either have to ride it and have fun or you're in misery," Tomac said, with a smile. "Today we were having fun. That was by far the craziest supercross race I've Jason Anderson had a shot at the win but small tip-overs cost him, though he still extended his lead in the championship. PHOTOGRAPHY BY SIMON CUDBY
