The best part of the United States Grand Prix at Laguna Seca was
the ride getting there. We featured a story on all things Laguna
Seca, which we titled Laguna Mecca… We covered the second
round of the National MX Series at Hangtown; Rick Johnson took
the 250cc-class win and Erik Kehoe the 125cc-class win… Dan
Ashcraft edged out Dan Smith for the National Hare & Hound
victory in Searchlight, Nevada… Terry Vance set more records
at the Gatornationals NHRA National Championship Drag Race
Series in Florida.
Kevin Windham got cover honors 20 years ago for winning the
St. Louis Supercross; Ricky Carmichael won the 125cc class—
again… Our Time Remembered piece featured motocrosser
Danny "Magoo" Chandler… We tested the RTV1200 Black
Widow… Scott Summers took the overall win at the Big Buck
GNCC in South Carolina… We covered Buddy Antunez' win at
the AMA/PJ1 National Arenacross Series in Salt Lake City… Brian
Brown grabbed his first career AMA National Hare & Hound win in
Murphy, Idaho.
