ago, Sutherlin had tested for the event and
was riding well when he lost his rear brakes
because of a loose banjo bolt. A broken
wheel further hampered his charge, but he
climbed back from outside the top 10 to fin-
ish fifth and stay in contention for the title.
Sutherlin is second in points.
"I lost my rear brakes four laps in, then I
had to come in to change a broken wheel,
and dropped back outside the top 10,"
said Sutherlin. "So I charged hard and
came in fifth. It's a frustrating day, but
these are the days I have to swallow my
pride and move on until the next one. I
know that win is there. We just have to get
a little luck on our side right now."
In Pro 2, Mitch Anderson claimed his first
WORCS victory. After a decent start, An-
derson figured out the fast way around the
course on the first lap, took the lead and
never looked back. Along with the victory,
Anderson took the points lead.
