OLIVEIRA PULLS THROUGH AT IDAHO
WEST HARE SCRAMBLES

f snow, rain, sun and hail all
in one day in Emmett, Idaho,
March 24-25, didn't provide
enough entertainment, action
on the course certainly did at
the Little Gem Hare Scrambles
by Dirt Inc., round four of the
Kenda/SRT AMA West Hare
Scrambles Regional Champion-
ship Series, Presented by Mojo
Motorsports.
After numerous lead changes
between at least four riders,
FMF/Maxxis/RPM Racing
KTM's Dante Oliveira made the
final pass in the final mile to top
the podium for the first time in
the series. He completed eight
laps of the abbreviated course
(shortened from the originally
planned 15 to roughly nine due to
weather) at the Little Gem Cycle
Park in two hours, 31 minutes
and 37 seconds.
Early leader and local favorite
David Kamo (PCI Race Radios)
thought he was on his way to
winning as he rode his 2012
KTM 450 XC-F towards the fin-
ish, but it stalled and died in a
slow section, the clutch burned
out and was useless for the final
two laps. He restarted after a few
moments and crossed the line in
2:31:58 for second overall, while
