The holeshot winner aboard his Motorex/Motion Pro/Klim- backed 450 XC-F, Yorba ran third, a few seconds behind Redondi, for much of the race before also squeezing past Stewart on the final lap to secure second—his third-straight Big 6 podium this season, unofficially giving him the series points lead over Stewart, 67 to 64. "Towards the end I was start- ing to get into a really good groove and make up some time on the front two," Yorba said. "I was able to close up onto Redondi and with me doing so, I was pushing him and we ended up closing in on Trevor. The three of us, we were so close and it was just such a bummer for Trevor. He was trying to get around a lapper and the lap- pers were just really bad and he ended up spinning out on the pavement so that moved me into second and Redondi into the lead. "The three of us, we just pushed as hard as we could to the very end. It was a great race! I had fun." Stewart said, "The whole last part of the race, it was terrible how bad it was [with lapped traffic]. It was not only a disap- pointment for me but for all the racers out there. Gary [Sutherlin injured] his collarbone because of a lapper. "It really is a heartbreak because I had that won—in the bag!—and the last couple laps, just got screwed so bad. But hats off to Giacomo and Eric; they rode such an awesome race." FMF KTM Factory Off-Road Racing Team's Kailub Russell came from last to fourth after his Red Bull/IMS/Troy Lee Designs (Left) This is how close the last lap was. Redondi, runner-up Yorba and third-place Stewart all going at it. (Below) Clay Hengeveld recovered from a bad start to win WCGP Pro II for the second time this season over Tallon La Fountaine, and defending champ and round-two winner Beau Baron.
