SANDY
The Tampa racetrack featured a
complete rhythm lane built from
sand, and it was tough for the rac-
ers to master because it changed
almost every lap. "Every time you
come through there, it's completely
different," Zach Osborne said.
"And it's easy to get off your main
line, especially in the beginning
when there were no lines at all. It
was extremely tough. I was bounc-
ing through there." Martin Davalos
echoed the sentiment. "[The track]
is getting so, so slippery, it's kind
of hard to manage the rear end,"
Davalos said. "And man, the sand's
going to be brutal. I really hope I get
a good start, because last weekend
was gnarly."
ROCZEN UPDATE
Honda HRC's Ken Roczen says his
recent arm injury is more serious
than first thought. "The injury was
a lot worse than first diagnosed,"
Roczen said. "So, I had to wait a
couple of days to fly to Vail [Colo-
rado], and as soon I went there, we
did CT scans and everything just
to be sure we're fixing everything,
and it went from shattered bones to
torn ligaments and dislocations. It
was not really what I wanted to hear.
We'll see. I have a check-up on
Tuesday, and hopefully going to get
the pins out at around eight weeks,
