For the second week in a row, Tomac was
the top 450SX qualifier going into the eve-
ning, but it wasn't going to be another cruise
in the main event like it was the previous
week in Texas.
Cooper Webb (Monster Energy/Knich
Yamaha) grabbed the early lead and put up a
short fight before both Tomac and Musquin
got around him.
Musquin then found his way past Tomac,
as did an inspired Justin Hill (AutoTrader/JGR
Suzuki) who was making his 450SX debut.
Hill then went after Musquin, but Musquin
held him high on a berm and caused Hill to
crash out of the second spot.
After over 10 laps chasing Musquin, Tomac
made a pass stick for the lead and led the
final 11 laps of the 26-lap race to take his
fourth win of the year.
"It was down that rhythm section and I was
able to get on the inside of him," Tomac said
of the pass. "I kind of saved that for the end
