IN THE WIND P44 Hayes took the points lead from his teammate and now sits 13 points ahead. Faith is second, just one point ahead of Blose. Blose improved on his string of thirds to finish second overall on a Honda and is glad to move well into the points mix. "Three weekends in a row I was in third place, so we're go- ing in the right direction," said Blose. "I'm happy with the prog- ress, but at the same time I want to be winning main events. That's the ultimate goal and I'm striving to achieve that." Steinke earned his first podi- um since last year on a Kawasa- ki. He used an old technique for negotiating the whoop sections and it paid off. "It had a little bigger whoops so I went back to my old tech- nique of jumping like a bunny rabbit and it worked for me," said Steinke. "It's been since last year that I was on the podium. This is the first one of the season and many more to come." Rockford Fosgate/TiLube/ Honda's Harrison dominated the AX Lites class to win his third race of the season and extend his points lead. Teammate Jared Lasher finished second, followed by Kawasaki's Isaac Teasdale. "I got the holeshot and I found a great line through the whoops," said Harrison. "After the start, I rode my own race, and I tried to stay smooth." The Amsoil Arenacross Series now heads to the Florence Civic Center in South Carolina, Febru- ary 17-18. Harlen Foley 250AX 1.
