HAYES SWEEPS MADISON
ARENACROSS
J
acob Hayes won both motos
to sweep the Amsoil Aren-
across race at Alliant Energy
Center in Madison, Wisconsin,
February 10. The victory, com-
bined with a ninth-place effort by
Gavin Faith, handed Hayes the
points lead in the 250AX class.
Chris Blose finished second,
followed by Gared Steinke. Kyle
Bitterman was fourth.
Heath Harrison completed the
top five in 250AX and he also
won the AX Lites class race.
The series made its return to
the large arena after a seven-
year absence. The sizable arena
floor area provided for bigger
jumps and a larger track. The
dirt was some of the best of the
season—tacky with a nice mix of
clay.
The event proved to be a
game changer in the points.
