VOL. 55 ISSUE 5 FEBRUARY 6, 2018 P117 who makes his people get the same haircut as him as he tests missiles developed to annihilate the United States. Kim Jong Un represents a clear and present danger to the security of not just the U.S. but his own people and the fate of the Korean region at large, because he knows deep down should he continue his pissing match against America he'll be blown off the face of the world map—as the U.S.'s repre- sentative to the United Nations Nikki Haley has reiterated time and again. On the home front, I'm now more than accustomed to the sometimes-overzealous se- curity measures I encounter at airports. This, I have no issue with, because the hor- rors experienced by this nation should never be repeated and if that means Jose has to give the crown jewels a cupping, so be it. Deeper into the home front, I have insurance policies for anything of great value in my life, and while I hate forking out those few hundred bucks every month, the security offered in re- turn brings with it peace of mind. If someone steals my car tomor- row, I won't have to put my fist through the wall in a fit of rage knowing I've just lost thousands of dollars. I'll just call the crew who take my cash each month and get them to give me a new car. Simple. What isn't so simple is my little seven-month-old son and the fact he relies solely on me to bring him shelter, medical care, food, security. This is a compli- cated situation and one I don't have to explain to fellow parents but suffice to say, the little dude needs me and his mom for everything. Having someone rely on you to that degree is daunting because prior to him arriving I would have trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time— it's not like I've figured that part of life out yet but I have realized gum isn't good for you so I've now got no problem walking. That reliance from just one single person means I'm kind of like his President of Life, which in itself is a bit of an ego trip. I can't even fathom the size of ego required to think you and you alone should be POTUS, ensur- ing not just the well being and security of a nation but, let's face it, the world as a whole. Being secure in yourself is a great feeling and probably one I'm only just beginning to under- stand now that Harvey is here. Personal wealth and knowledge combine to make a secure mind, which in turn breeds confidence and allows you to make the right choices for your life—I'm certainly not wealthy (at least in the financial aspect) but I have noticed my confidence has grown of late, so I must be doing something right. Being secure in the knowl- edge your life will be a little easier will make you a happier person. If I can ensure my valu- ables are going to be safe when I go somewhere, it will make my day less stressful. You may wonder what all this has to do with motorcycles. It doesn't. It has to do with one motorcycle. Kawasaki brought the Z900RS to market this year, and the reason I like this bike so much is due to one simple piece of security some dingus high up in the bike industry long ago thought we as riders didn't need. The single greatest aspect of the 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS is it comes with a helmet lock. Why in the blue hell did these things disappear from bikes in the first place? Now I can ride to Ana- heim stadium to watch super- cross, and not have to carry my huge ass helmet around with me all night! I have two free hands for holding a beer, giving a hug, taking a photo, even going for a leak. If you are reading this and work for a motorcycle manu- facturer and have any say in the future development of your company's products, please, for the love of Bleeding Gums Mur- phy, make sure your bikes come out with a helmet lock under the seat, just like all bikes with a license plate used to. It's a level of security we all want, need and damn well deserve. CN
