stepped up on one of the
trickiest racetracks in recent
memory at the Oakland Coli-
seum to make a thrilling last-lap
pass on Ken Roczen and win
his second main event of the
series, while Eli Tomac, winner
of the last two rounds, struggled
after an early fall to finish 13th,
suffering yet another big blow
towards winning his first title. If
Anderson comes away with this
championship—and there are still
a dozen races left before this is
determined—it may well be the
Oakland Supercross that was
the defining point in the 2018
championship chase.
In the 250SX class, prior
to Oakland, the red plate had
changed hands every week, but
