Hayes qualified second, won
his heat and went 2-1 in the
motos. He was thrilled to win the
final moto in front of a jubilant
local crowd.
"I finished second, but I still
feel like a hometown hero," said
Hayes. "It was a great feeling
going under the checkered flag
in front of my family and friends. I
was a little nervous this week so
to get it done in that second one
was incredible."
Blose scored another podium
on his Rockford Fosgate Ti-Lube
Honda and still remains in the
points mix. He qualified third,
finished second in his heat and
went 3-3 on the night.
"It's another third place and
that's not where I want to be; I
want to be winning," said Blose.
"We made good gains during the
week, but this track was tricky.
It seemed as if it was all about
starts and where you started is
where you finished. We'll re-
group, improve the bike and my-
self and come back swinging."
In the AX Lites class, Harrison
ran a solid race in second on his
Rockford Fosgate Ti-Lube Hon-
da before leader Carter Halpain
stalled his Yamaha. Inheriting the
lead, Harrison took the win and
now leads the championship
by three points. Halpain was
second, followed by the Yamaha
of Tanner Stock.
"I was running second when
the leader made a mistake and
was there to capitalize on it,"
