FAITH TOPS GREENSBORO
ARENACROSS
G
avin Faith won his third race in four
rounds during the Amsoil Arenacross
at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro,
North Carolina, January 27. Faith's Bab-
bitt's/Monster Energy/Kawasaki team-
mate and Greensboro native Jacob Hayes
finished second, ahead of Honda rider
Chris Blose.
Heath Harrison won the AX Lites race
and took the points lead.
The track surface was the nicest it's
been all season with sand and clay mixed
in with the Carolina dirt, allowing riders
to perform to their limits on the technical
course. Legendary racer Ricky Carmichael
was in attendance as part of the Ricky Car-
michael's Road to Supercross, and he put
in a lap during the pre-ceremonies.
Faith qualified first, won his heat, won
the Head-2-Head Challenge and went
1-2 in the two motos to score the victory.
His third win of the season allowed him to
extend his points lead to five. Interestingly,
the Head-2-Head Challenge race handed
him the extra point to score the victory.
"The Head-2-Head can swing it ei-
ther way and I've lost quite a few mains
because of it, so it was nice to win one
tonight," said Faith. "I gained one point
tonight which is good because the Aren-
across points are really tight. The track
was good tonight and the Kawasaki was
running great. I haven't touched a clicker
all season."
