where consistency was at a premium, Savatgy
was the only rider in either class to finish in the
top three in all three main events (1-2-1 finishes).
It was a standout performance on a night when
many superstars looked lackluster at best.
Even 450SX winner Tomac, although he
looked better than he has since he crashed at
round one, ended up taking the overall win with
a less-than-consistent 5-1-2 score, while super-
stars like Ken Roczen (ninth), Marvin Musquin
(13th), Justin Barcia (eighth), Aaron Plessinger
(sixth) and Justin Hill (10th) struggled all night.
Was it the format, or a sign of things to come
as the series moves forward? We can't know as
the series moves forward.
