IN THE WIND P50 BROC GLOVER RECEIVES MXGP LIFETIME CAREER AWARD A t the season-concluding Motocross of Nations in Great Britain, Broc Glover, Dunlop's Senior Manager of Off-Road, was awarded the prestigious MXGP Lifetime Career Award in recognition of his contributions to moto- cross racing over the last 40 years. Among many racing accomplishments, including being inducted to the AMA Hall of Fame and a Supercross Life- time Achievement Award for amassing 50 AMA Motocross and Supercross wins prior to retiring in the late 1980s, Glover won six AMA National Motocross Championships, a record that stood for 20 years. The MXGP Lifetime Career Award recognizes Glover's many U.S. and inter- national accomplishments on and off the track, and for setting an example for the next generation of racers the world over. Glover currently spearheads Dunlop's U.S. off-road racing program, and has been instrumental in its growth for the past 16 years. KELLETT WINS WESTON BEACH RACE T he 35th running of the HydroGarden Weston Beach Race 2017 attracted nearly 800 motorcycle rac- ers to the shores of the United Kingdom, October 14-15, where local racer Todd Kellett (Husqvarna) took the win, topping such high-profile racers such as David Knight (KTM) and Jonny Walker (KTM). The 20-year-old Kellett got off to a fast start and there was noth- ing anyone else could do about it. Kellett rode flawlessly for the next three hours to take the win over Knight, a former World Enduro Champion and two-time winner of the event. Knight was the only rider other than Kellett to finish on the lead lap. Third place went to Northern Ireland's Martin Barr (Honda). Walker was in the hunt for a podium and was running second before having to make a couple of unscheduled pit stops.
