RUSSELL WINS UNADILLA GNCC

he 2017 Amsoil GNCC
Championship fired back up
at Unadilla in New Berlin, New
York, September 10, after taking
its traditional summer break, and
FMF KTM's Kailub Russell got
the second half of the season
started with a hard-fought win
to extend his lead in the cham-
pionship over Thad Duvall, who
did not suit up. Duvall suffered
a wrist injury at the ISDE and it
appears that he might miss at
least a few more rounds with his
arm in a cast until he's ready to
go again.
Russell battled with N-Fab/
AmPro Yamaha's Ricky Russell—
who nabbed the $250 All Balls
Racing Holeshot money—for the
first half of the race. The two
took turns leading before Kailub
was able to pull away well into
the race.
Steward Baylor, on the SRT/
KTM, put on a charge in the
second half of the race and
caught Ricky Russell, pressured
him for a while, then took over
second place. By this time, he
