team that finished third.
"Yeah, I was pretty bummed out
about that; it's just kind of a rookie
mistake," Toth shared. "For sure I just
tried to put it behind me and ride my
best."
Despite the penalty, Toth earned a
gold medal, finishing 14th E1, the third-
best American in the class after Sipes
and fellow Junior World teammate
Michael who was 10th.
"Even without that [penalty], we
weren't as fast as France and Italy,"
Kallonen admitted.
WOMEN'S WORLD TROPHY
For the first time since the inaugural
Women's World Trophy (WWT) com-
petition in Chile in 2007, the U.S.
approach mirrored that of what's done
on the men's side with a hand-picked
trio believed to have the most poten-
tial to run with the top teams. This
