weekend, Savatgy went out
and scored the overall with a
1-2 score there. At Washougal,
things weren't looking good after
the first moto where he was
buried in a battle the whole time
and ended up seventh at the
finish. But in the second moto,
he limited the battle to one rider
this time after he grabbed the
holeshot, then battled it out with
Geico Honda's RJ Hampshire,
who actually passed Savatgy
for the lead a few laps into the
race. Savatgy went to school on
Hampshire's lines, then passed
him back and led the rest of the
way to the finish.
