ttrition is finally catching up to the 2017
AMA 450cc Supercross and Motocross
racers. The Red Bull Southwick MX
National—round seven of the 12-round Lucas Oil
AMA Pro Motocross Championships—marked
the 24th race in 27 weeks for the 450cc-class
regulars, and the only guy left who isn't dinged
up is Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac.
Tomac, already a favorite to win at Southwick
after having won the previous two times he's
raced at The Wick 338, found his list of champi-
onship challengers drop from a realistic three to
one after dominating both motos in the north-
eastern sand. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's
Jason Anderson, third in points heading to round
seven in Southwick, suffered a hard get-off the
Thursday before the event, and although he at-
tempted to ride practice, he was unable to line
