My Own Race:
3 ELI TOMAC 1ST 450MX (1-1)
"We had an all around good day," said Eli Tomac. "The fans are awe-
some here and I could feel the energy! As wide as the track is here,
there seemed to only be one line so I really had to work for it. I didn't
want to rush anything though, being that we were already going at a
fast pace, so I had to be patient on making a move."
45 MITCHELL HARRISON 4TH 250MX (7-2)
Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha's Mitchell Harrison is in his second
season of racing at the professional level, and the transition hasn't
been easy. He has talent for days, and incredible skill, but he's been
searching for his breakthrough performance to kick his racing career
into high gear. At RedBud, the local boy found it, going 7-2 for fourth
overall, even leading part of moto two late in the race. "It's unbeliev-
able," Harrison said. "I thought I could actually run with them, but it's
been a struggle. RedBud crowd, hometown, I got out front and felt
the flow and took her home. Zach was riding good and everybody
was riding so good I had to keep them off my tail."
