MartY Tripes has burst onto the International scene in a blaze of glory. The crowd is on their feet to cheer him on in his chase of Hansen.
Husqvama team had been running high all evening, effectively blocking a lot of bids. The rest of the Yamaha team in the In temational class couldn't seem to get untracked in the first two motos. Jones and 'Weinert were seldom among the
front-runners. Only Hakan
Andersson looked his usual competitive self.

from Sweden finally exploded in the final mota to take the lead. He was never seriously challenged as Torlief Hansen settled into second after running with Arne Kring for a while. Marty Tripes was somewhere back about tenth for the first few laps. But he started moving up. about a rider a lap, making passes that looked easy in places where other riders were crashing just trying 10 stay on the track. About halfway through the last malO, he had moved up to third. Hansen was riding in a very serious, concen trated manner and Andersson was -long gone, throttle to
the stops. Then the chase was on. Tripes slowly.
