Cole, who rides for Steve's Bultaco, proved th at the Honda ranks can be penetrated and that th e new Bul, in the right hands, must pose a threat. Even a bigger surprise was Bill Barlow (Hon) . coming out ahead of Greg Robertson (C-A). Barlow's job was made a lillie easier when Robertson's bike wouldn't run properly. Arnold Comproni (Mai) continues to be the dominating force in the 250 Intermediate class. Comproni's heaviest threat was that of Bob Turney (Mai) who also rides for Cole Bros. Turney' proved to be fast and consistent in hounding Comproni the en tire distance but Comproni's experience enabled him to hold off Tumey and take first overall Andy J annings (Mai) cruised to an easy win in the 500 Pro class , followed by Donny Hansen (Mai). Hansen, after an absence of nearly six months due to injuries, seemed to really enjoy himself and was pleased-to finish second. • lunde r new management!
