Motocrosss National at Glen
Helen Raceway, the track trans-
formed from its steep climbs and
peaky jumps to a calmer style
in order to accommodate the
machinery (and riders) of anoth-
er era at the 8th Annual SoCal
Vintage Motocross Classic, June
3. The usual suspects turned out
for the vintage affair, including
event promoter Scott Burnworth,
who also found time to race sev-
eral classes. Larry "Supermouth"
Huffman, once again, called
the racing action from the booth
as riders like Gary Jones and
Shawn Kalos took to the track on
their classic machinery. Huffman
was also honored with a Lifetime
Achievement Award from the So-
Cal Vintage Motocross Classic.
The 500cc action promised to
be a entertaining, as Sean Col-
lier was ready for battle aboard
his KX500 against Kalos and
Promoter Scott
Burnworth (8) still
found time to contest
three classes at
the SoCal Vintage
Motocross Classic.
