Tonglet qualified in the middle of the 16-bike field with an eighth-quick- est 6.880 but the Four-Wide race is to go right is huge. This is also a huge confidence builder. In a bizarre final, Tonglet claimed the 11th win of his career when he rode to a 6.864. Krawiec was in the final quickest with a 6.821, but he was distracted on the starting line and got a late start when opponent Scotty Pollacheck left before the Tree was activated. Pollacheck's foul also distracted Hines, who finished third with a 6.902. Hines had won the past three Four-Wide events, while Krawiec was relegated to the run- ner-up spot for the fourth-straight year. For Tonglet, the win comes (Left) It was another runner- up finish for Eddie Krawiec at Charlotte. (Below) Rookie Joey Gladstone didn't get into the four- bike final but still had an impressive weekend.
