Ox Motorsports Honda rider Zach Bell ran a good pace in the first half of the race, but soon ran into his own problems, which included losing his ex- haust header. "It's happened before where the bike gets really hot and it cracks and the bolts just can't hang onto the pipe," Bell ex- plained. "It just rips off. I really had to slow down and everyone really got away from me." He fell behind the leaders, but did not lose any positions, hold- ing on to fourth, which turned into third after Bell's mishap. Mark Samuels and Justin Seeds rounded out the top-five, re- spectively. In the Pro II class, Nick Stover had a successful run at the front, taking the win ahead of Chance Fullerton and Beau Baron. Other big winners over the weekend include Blayne Thomp- son in Sunday's Heavyweight Expert class. Thompson started Saturday's WCGP race only to crash hard on the first lap, damaging his Fasthouse Honda and slicing open his elbow. Robby Bell bested Mark Tilley in Saturday morning's Vet race while Gordon Ward dominated the field in both the Senior (40+) and Magnum (50+) classes. Jean Turner WCGP Overall: 1. Eric Yorba (KTM) 2.
