Matt Maple said I just plowed
the front end in a powdery berm,
high-sided and lawn-darted face
first to the dirt. Luckily all I came
away with was a mild concussion
and some bruised ribs. I had a
CT scan at [the] hospital and my
brain checked out perfectly, no
swelling or bleeding. Thanks to
everyone who (I heard) stopped
for me."
Second place went to young
JCR Honda rider Trevor Stewart,
who also had a rough day after
injuring his wrist that morning.
"I thought it was going to be
a step back [in the champion-
ship]," said Stewart. "My hand
was hurting all day today. Around
noon I honestly didn't think I was
going to be able to race. So I
took some ibuprofen and I duct
taped it for the race and basically
went out there to salvage points."
Stewart, currently second
in the championship, pushed
through the pain en route to his
runner-up finish. Most important-
ly, he finished ahead of current
points leader Zach Bell.
"I'm really excited with how I

"It's definitely not how I want
to win," said Yorba. "But a win's
a win. I just really hope he's
okay."
There wasn't much celebra-
tion at the finish or at the po-
dium, as Bell was still being at-
tended to by the medical crew.
Bell later posted the following
on his Instagram @robbybell32:
"Well it was a bit of a bummer to
wad up just a few straightaways
from the finish. Definitely en-
joyed feeling like I had the pace
once more. I don't remember
Points leader Zach Bell had to settle
for third on the high-speed course.
