MAN IX ROOSTER TAIL PANTS, s3695 Non-Leather Racewear gets the job done N_ Er9and Trials Qlampion Don Sweet has signed with the American Yamaha trials team. He impressed the Californians with his calm precision. now carrying the Number 1 plate for his class, put together some really nice rides today to cop the Number 1 trophy with a total of '71 points. Andre and Number 2 Master Bernie Schreiber seem to spend entire tanks of gas chasing each other around over the most unrideable countryside, laughing all the while. Number 2 Expert fmisber today was Brian Perry. Brian was tied with Mike Hansen o!' points at 82 and they went to the cleans to see who had the most for the tie breaker. Perry ended up with 12 while Mike had to settle for third place with nine cleans. To top that off fourth place rider Guy VanGaasbeek and fifth place Don Anderson also fmished in a tie with a score of 83. Four riders with only one point difference in the Expert class and you know those guys were hot. Compared to last year's EI Trials this one was one of many contrasts. Last year the legendary Sammy Miller was here, this year it was riders from all parts of the United States. For weather last year it was cold overcast and the ground was a real mud paradise but this year it was, well it was hot, and dry, and sweaty, and just typical Southern California weather. But after all was said and done, just about everybody left for home with a smile on their face and the knowledge that they had ridden with and watched the best Trialers that our country has to offer. Mark ElIIIlIr uses some face English to get up a slippery incline. MX Rooster Tails look like a greaf idea and they are. Here's a non- leather MX pants with an amaz- ingly high level of protection at a price well under that of leather.
