your results don't show it," Mar-

"It's always tough getting that
first win," Hill said. "Ironically
enough, these were my exact
weekend. With that, the gates
weren't ideal for anybody, but I
just fought until the end and third
is what I ended up with."
The top nine were actually set
in order by lap six, with Geico
Honda's Jeremy Martin recov-
ering from a first-turn crash to
move into 10th place on lap 11,
where he'd finish.
"It was a bummer to start that
event, but by that point, the top
three were way too spread out
for McElrath to make any further
advances.
"This track tonight was a
tough one to separate yourself
from everybody," McElrath said.
"I didn't have the best start, so
coming from behind I kind of
dealt with what these guys [Hill
and Plessinger] dealt with last
