California dominated the 65cc
class by winning the 65cc (7-9),
65cc (7-9) Limited and 65cc (7-
11) classes. The Orange Brigade
KTM rider was indeed impres-
sive on the SX track.
Factory Connection-backed
Carson Mumford rode his very
trick Honda CRF150R to the
head of the class in both the
Supermini 1 and Supermini 2
classes, and he also won the
spots in a lot of the classes, but
at the end of the day, a pattern
of familiar names would claim
the number-one plates on the SX
track.
There were three riders that
had the trifecta on the day. One
of those was Carter Halpain of
Lubbock, Texas, who claimed
the 250B, 450B and 450B Lim-
ited titles on his EBR Yamaha.
He also got a fourth-place finish
in the 250B Limited class.

This year's event saw an in-
crease of more than 300 entries
for the supercross segment and,
as a result, many heats, quali-
fiers and LCQs were needed to
trim the field for the main events,
which finally got going Wednes-
day, when all of the supercross
champions were crowned.
The first gate for the super-
cross racing dropped early in
the morning and the racing was
intense on the new track. There
