When the top two finishers from each of the three heat races squared off for the evening Hot Lap, Haaker earned the bonus point and first gate pick for the main by beat- ing, Webb, who appeared to have put in an unbeatable time only moments earlier. Haaker used that first gate pick to his advantage. He chose the inside and ended up taking the $500 Nexen Tire Holeshot award, while Webb went down hard and got run over by several riders. Webb was very slow to Beta's Kyle Redmond gave notice that he was going to be a factor by setting the fastest time during the afternoon Hot Lap session that determine the gate picks and groups for the three pro class heat races later in the evening. Haaker was second fastest and three of the up-and- coming youngsters of Enduro- Cross rounded out the top five times: Noah Kepple, Trystan Hart and Ty Cullins. Veteran Mike Brown and Webb were sixth and seventh, respectively. During the qualifying races Webb, Haaker and SRT racing- backed Cory Graffunder won the three heat races to earn a bonus championship point each.
