L

off-road accident over the weekend while riding in the
mountains near Tehachapi, California. Beck, 63, report-

back to his truck and drive home before heading to a local

the department said they expect him to make a full recovery
and return to work as early as next week.
"I want to thank everyone for their well-wishes as I recu-

statement. "As always, I am in constant contact with my LAPD
command staff and will be working diligently while I recuperate
to continue leading the men and women of the LAPD." CN
