advantage over Maverick Vinales
(Ecstar Suzuki). But it was Vina-
les who took the lead through
the first corners as Marquez and
Lorenzo clashed, and Rossi got
briefly ahead, only to run wide.
"I was too fast and I decided
to go wide. If not, we might have
touched, and… disaster," he
said.
But construction problems
with the medium front chunk-
ing struck both Pedrosa and
had led three laps midrace, but
now he was suffering wheelspin
and lost second to Lorenzo
with five of the 23 laps left. He
didn't give up, but finally ceded
to Lorenzo on the penultimate
lap, when a lunge into the right-
left Aragon Corkscrew got him
