ani Pedrosa is famously
the littlest of riders, but he
might as well have been
eight feet tall on Sunday, as he
became the eighth wonder of
the world (championship). Well,
a record-breaking eighth winner
in the last eight races.
It was a return of a rider many
had started to write off, and
proof that he has started to
understand how to get the best
of the Michelin tires (if somewhat
belatedly). The Repsol Honda
rider was one of only two riders
to choose the new soft front tire,
but his defeated rival Valentino
Rossi (medium front and rear)
was quick to point out that, with
the new-this-year Michelins,
riders have to choose not an
overall best tire for the race, but
the best for their style and their
bike.
