I was like fifth or sixth in the first turn so that wasn't bad. I had some serious corner speed; it felt really good, especially between one and two. The front stretch had a bad headwind and every time I would make good time through the corner and hit the front straightaway, it was like being tied to sail or something, then I just couldn't go anywhere. Cory would go blasting back by me. I wish we could have gotten up to Bryan and Kenny a little bit sooner, and then maybe we could have mixed up with them. I had the corner speed and he had the straightaway speed. or six laps to figure it out. I got a good jump and struggled for the first five or six laps. I kind of drifted back. I was probably sixth, seventh or eighth, some- where around in there. I was able to just kind of keep work- ing. I got back up to fourth; I just didn't have what I needed to be with the front guys today. All in all it was a good finish. It's pretty cool when your bad days are a fourth or fifth right now. On our good days, we're on the box." In the middle of a snake-bit season, Brad Baker was able to come away with a fifth-place finish. "It was a pretty good race," he said.
