followed teammate Franco Mor-
bidelli past Folger on lap four,
only to slip off yet again.
All the while Luthi was moving
forwards in chunks from eighth
on lap one, taking third off Mor-
bidelli on lap seven. And when
Lowes slowed for a spell, it was
Luthi who took the lead, with
Zarco second.
Lowes dropped to fourth, but
was back past Morbidelli after
two laps, and by the 14th he
was again part of lead trio. Then
Zarco knocked him off, leaving
Luthi unmolested for a second
win of the year.
Folger was a close fifth, then
a gap until Zarco, who had
gotten ahead of Baldassari's For-
ward Kalex with two laps to go.
A couple of seconds adrift,
Rins passed Corsi (Speed Up)
on the last lap. Mattia Pasini
(Italtrans Kalex) had followed him
through, leaving Axel Pons (AGR
Kalex) to finish the top 10, and
the rest of the points to Schrot-
ter, Cortese, Vierge, Simon and
Kent.
Vinales also crashed out early
on. Oliveira retired from a good
position in the points.
Zarco still leads on points, 181
to Rins' 171. Lowes (137) was the
big loser, now under threat from
Luthi (131). Folger has 119.
forward, eventually passing
Simone Corsi for a fine eighth,
promoted to seventh by Zarco's
penalty. Nine points moved him
to within 10 of no-score Zarco,
reigniting his title hopes.
Lowes, Zarco and Jonas Fol-
ger (Dynavolt Kalex) were on the
front row, and Folger made the
best start. Lowes had taken over
by the end of the lap, with Zarco
third and soon to take second.
Alex Marquez (EG-VDS Kalex)
had qualified on row two, and
Luthi (12) rode a classy race from
the front to win. Zarco (5) made a
massive blunder and was dropped
out of the points, his lead in the
title down to 10.
