career, Nicoletti finished in the
top five in the championship with
one point to spare over rookie
beanstalk Bloss.
Bloss got a terrible start (out-
side the top 20) while Nicoletti
started inside the top five. By the
end of 30 minutes plus two laps,
Bloss ended up 11th, while Nico-
letti finished eighth, just about
by three points coming into the
Ironman MX National. He lost
one point to Nicoletti in the first
moto, when Nicoletti beat Bloss
by less than 1.5 seconds for
sixth place. Then, in moto two,
Roczen leads
runner-up Justin
Barcia (51), Phil
Nicoletti (34),
Benny Bloss (167)
and the rest of the
450MX class in
moto one.
