AN AUSSIE ADVENTURE
A
dam Reimann is Australia's premier solo
motorcycle filmmaker and has recently taken
on a KTM 1190 Adventure R as a long-term ma-
chine, doing various stages of development and
tours on the Austrian company's premier big-bore
dirt beast. Reimann has been documenting his
adventures on the big 1190 in 2016 in a series of
films that are well worth watching, and he re-
cently revealed the latest chapter of his KTM 1190
Adventure R saga.
This film (part 4) focuses on adventure rid-
ing in the south west of Western Australia—a
lush, green paradise of bike-riding peppered
with some of the country's finest vineyards. The
incredible scenery along with some fast roads and
fast-moving rivers make Reimann's journey quite
an interesting one.
Watch for a review of his second feature film,
Motonomad II, Riders of the Steppe, in a coming
issue of Cycle News. CN
THE WORLD'S
FASTEST FEMALE
M
otoAmerica star Patricia Fernandez made history over the
weekend by becoming the fastest female racer in the world at
the Ulster Grand Prix in Dundrod, Northern Ireland.
Riding the Magic Bullet Yamaha YZF-R6, Fernandez rode to a
fastest lap of 118.264 mph to take the title as fastest female at the
fastest international racetrack currently in use.
"I had the previous record for the fastest
600cc but there was a female on a 1000cc
that was 1 mph quicker than I, but not any-
more!" Fernandez said via her Facebook
page. "I cannot believe I finally did it! Road
racing is unlike any other sensation I have
ever experienced. Bruce Anstey himself
placed the medal over my head, I was cry-
ing! It's a dream come true." CN
An understandably stoked Fernandez with the
World's Fastest Female medal on the podium
at the Ulster Grand Prix.
