VOL. 53 ISSUE 28 JULY 26, 2016 P71 the second moto and, although this year is not what he hoped for, he'll still looking to be at his best for the upcoming two US- GPs in September. CN MXGP Results 1. Max Nagl (1-1) 2. Tim Gajser (2-2) 3. Romain Febvre (3-3) 4. Clement Desalle (5-4) 5. Jeremy van Horebeek (4-5) MX2 Results 1. Dylan Ferrandis (1-1) 2. Jeremy Seewer (3-2) 3. Max Anstie (2-3) 4. Benoit Paturel (4-5) 5. Petar Petrov (6-7) lucky didn't cause more severe damage than a concussion. (See video) In what is becoming all too familiar, Jonass will be grab- bing the "crash" headlines after coming up short on the drop down when the track was pretty greasy. He was laid prone for quite a long time while medical attended to him, but a recent social posting suggested he is "ok" and could be back next weekend. Seewer on the other hand, did exactly what he needed to do in Herlings' absence by posting 3-2 results and keeping alive the opportunity of what would be an amazing gift. American Thomas Covington was able to continue his good recent run with a fourth place in sion, and it happened last year when Tixier ran over Herlings and broke his hip at this round 12 months ago. All this is specula- tion at this stage, and he may very well line up next week in Lommel (where he could prob- ably win with one arm anyway) but it is a situation worth keeping an eye on. With the number-84 gone, it was left to Dylan Ferrandis to step up to the plate and although he had to battle hard with Max Anstie for both wins, he became the first non-KTM MX2 victor in 2016. After his early season in- jury, Ferrandis is nowhere a title shot so this is all just for pride (and bonuses) but it is still a nice reassurance for the Frenchman that he is the next best rider in the class after Herlings. "Of course, it was a good weekend with both success," Ferrandis said. "Everyone in the team is happy; it's a great reward for all the work done since the beginning of the season. But there's not too much time to cel- ebrate this victory because next weekend there is the hardest race in the world with the GP of Lommel." As far as title implications go though, all eyes were on Jeremy Seewer and Pauls Jonass and while one rose to the occasion, the other one, once again, had a spectacular crash that he is Ferrandis was stoked to get his first-ever double-moto victory.
