BOU DOMINATES AGAIN R epsol Honda Team rider Toni Bou dominated the action at the FIM Trial World Champion- ship in Great Britain, July 16-17. Riding a Montesa Cota 4RT, the Spaniard topped both days, which puts him in complete control of the championship. Barring any disasters, his 10th Trials World Championship is just around the corner. On Saturday, Bou made light work of the mainly man-made course at Tong, losing just four marks over the entire trial, including a clean last lap. British rider, James Dabill (Vertigo) was delighted at the end of the first day, as he took a career best second spot in front of his many home fans. A further seven marks back Adam Raga (TRS) could only manage third position. On a day when the sun finally shone following the rain show- ers of the previous days, the greasy conditions dried as the competition wore on. Albert Cabestany (Sherco) ended up a distant fourth as he beat fifth place Takahisa Fujinami (Rep- sol Honda) by just two marks. Still recovering from the injuries he sustained in France, Jeroni Fajardo (Vertigo) battled to take sixth spot, leaving Jaime Busto (Repsol Honda), Franz Kadlec (Gas Gas) and Eddie Karlsson (Montesa) to occupy seventh, eighth and ninth places, respec- tively. Spain's Oriol Noguera (Montesa) rounded out today's top 10 in the TrialGP class as he equaled his best-ever finish. Bou's win on Saturday marked the occasion of the 200th GP IN THE WIND P44 (Above) A double win in Britain all but assures Toni Bou a record 10 th world title.
