The reward for Marc Marquez
and Repsol Honda was rein-
forced because his main title ri-
val, Jorge Lorenzo, could hardly
have gotten it more wrong. As
a result, the Movistar Yamaha
rider scored just one point for
a dismal 15th place. Marquez's
25 points for his third win of the
season, the 53rd in his career,
doubled his points lead over the
downcast defending champion.
With half the season done, he
goes off for the summer break a
shining 48 points clear.
Lorenzo was not the only one
to turn tactics into guesswork.
So too, his teammate Valentino
Rossi, who had claimed a front-
