hat is the difference be-
tween tactics and guess-
work? It must be this: when
the guessing works out right, that's
tactics. And vice versa.
A second successive race afflicted
by violently erratic weather gave riders
an opportunity to do either. And it was
surely no coincidence that the team
and rider who did get it most right
scored a seventh consecutive win at
the too-tight little German GP circuit
of the Sachsenring, nor that he did it
from pole position.
