MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 4 / JUNE 18, 2016 HIGH POINT RACEWAY / MT. MORRIS, PENNSYLVANIA P68 has been slowed by injuries. Savatgy's 4-1 score gave him the overall win over Osborne's 1-4, Webb's 3-5, Plessinger's 6-3, and Forkner's 5-8. And with the DNFs for each of the Martin brothers, Savatgy now enjoys the largest points lead he's had so far this year, with 20 points in hand over Webb, and then both of the Martin brothers within 10 points of him in third and fourth. Adam Cianciarulo (Kaw) 10-11 My Own Race: 94 KEN ROCZEN 450MX 1 ST O/A (1-1) "It was definitely a tough track today, but it made for great racing," Ken Roczen said of his day. "I grabbed the holeshot in the first moto, so it was great to start the moto with a clear track. A couple of people behind me crashed, pulled a gap and just rode a smart race. In the second moto, Eli was right behind me, but I got another good start. I didn't think I was going that fast; I didn't have the best lines, I think. I tried other things; the ruts were so deep that they completely messed me up, and I lost the front a bunch of times. With smarter line choices and more momentum, I think I could've been faster. But there were no real negatives on the day." Roczen added that nothing has changed as far as strategy and his mindset with Ryan Dungey now out of the championship. "Not at all," Roczen said. "It's never easy, and I think the worst thing possible you can do is think it's going to be easy. That's why I needed another 1-1, because you never want to let loose. Plus, Eli is going good, too." 21 JASON ANDERSON 450MX 2 ND O/A (3-3) Jason Anderson returned to action after his bout with al- titude sickness at Colorado. He was the fastest qualifier in the 450MX class and ended up second overall. "For the most part, I felt pretty good out there all day," Anderson said. "I was able to do some lines that helped me out, especially in the first moto. I crashed, then I had to battle those guys and those lines helped me out. There were a couple of jumps I was able to do [that few others were doing], which was cool, but it wasn't good enough. I feel like I'm progressing, better than I was last year." 25 MARVIN MUSQUIN 450MX 3 RD O/A (2-4) "I'm a little tired, but I'm happy," said third-overall finisher Marvin Musquin. It was his first-ever podium in the 450MX class. "I like it here, I've won twice on the 250, so I was really excited to come here and ride it on the 450. It's a real technical track and rough, bumpy. I was just feeling good this weekend. There are a lot of things to work on, still; you always want to get better." 3 ELI TOMAC 450MX 4 TH O/A (5-2) If Eli Tomac can get things figured out with his starts and his bike setup (which he seems to be doing lately), many feel he is the only rider left that has the speed to challenge Roczen for the title – or at least for moto wins. The Monster Energy Kawasaki Team rider looked strong in the second moto and got to within a few seconds of Roczen before dropping 12 seconds behind at the end. Tomac, however, struggled in the first moto after a crash while running sec- ond and didn't really get a chance to race with the Suzuki rider. "The second moto was a good ride for me, but that first moto really cost me," said Tomac. "I crashed and lost some spots, and just couldn't get into the battle up front. I don't know what's wrong with me this year, but we need to make a charge and get up there with Kenny [Roczen]."
