Out front, Savatgy held the
lead all the way to the finish,
barely holding off a late charge
from Alex Martin.
Early leader Cianciarulo,
eventually slipped back to 11th
but the moto was a giant step in
the right direction for the young
rider whose life on the pro trail
ciarulo. While Cianciarulo led,
Savatgy found his way by Jeremy
Martin for second, then passed
his teammate for the lead a lap
later and attempted to set sail
out front.

wheel and followed him right
through the top few spots to land
himself in second while Jeremy
Martin's bike began spewing
smoke. Jeremy began fading
and eventually dropped out
when his engine gave up, with a
seemingly identical problem to
his brother Alex's motorcycle in
moto one, just past halfway. The
team did not reveal an answer
for the double engine failure.
