VOL. 53 ISSUE 22 JUNE 7, 2016 P37
ARR Husqvarna's Nick Fah-
ringer. Fifth overall in moto one
belonged to Pro 2 winner Cody
Barnes, finding Duell Murphy in
second in Pro 2, just behind Pro
1 fifth-place rider Mark Heresco.
Moto two was nearly a repeat
of the first, with Witkowski, the
new OMA holeshot king, taking
yet another FMF holeshot only
to have Baylor get past him and
take the victory. This time the
gap to second place was 43
seconds, followed by Bonneur
and Fahringer just one minute
back and only four seconds
apart, once again taking third
and fourth, respectively. Barnes
again took the Pro 2 win, this
time behind Heresco by seven
seconds. Beta's Alex Witkowski
earned second place after Mur-
phy had trouble recovering from
a first-turn crash that sent him to
the back of the pack, struggling
for a break in the second moto.
According to Baylor, "the sec-
ond moto went a little better. I
got off to a better start. I kept my
momentum going forward, and
once I got in the lead I just put
my head down. I really felt good
on that two stroke. I haven't put
enough time on it, but by that
second moto I was back home,
you could say. [It was] a solid
day all in all, and I am happy with
the results. I just really needed
to get a win here. I came out
tightening the points back up,
but Mike (Witkowski) still has a
slight lead. I'll keep chasing him
for the rest of the season, and
hopefully we can keep mixing it
up."
