IN THE WIND P38 FEBVRE RE-SIGNS WITH FACTORY YAMAHA Y amaha Motor Europe N.V. recently an- nounced that Romain Febvre has extended his contract with the Monster Energy Yamaha as its official MXGP rider. The agreement will see the defending MXGP World Champion remain with big blue through 2019. The young Frenchman set the MXGP scene on fire during his rookie year aboard the YZ450FM, and is currently a top contender in the 2016 championship, taking his most recent win at his home GP of France. "I'm really happy that Ya- maha and I have reached a new agreement that reflects the great work we have achieved so far together," Febvre said. "We are going to continue building an unbeatable team together and create more stories of success in MXGP." Yamaha Motor Europe Chief Operating Officer Eric de Seynes added, "It is with great pleasure indeed that we make this an- nouncement to continue our partnership with Romain for a further three years. Our defend- ing champion is a true talent and perfectly reflects the values that we hold dear in our racing activi- ties. He is a real 'Blue' rider, and combined with our class-leading YZ technology, that he in part helps to develop, I am confident we can look forward to not only the continuation of a fantastic season this year, but also to three more years of success." CN SHADY BURRO ENDURO W e came across something that sounds like something fun to do—the Shady Burro 2-Day Reliability Enduro. The Shady Burro Enduro is billed as an "old-school" enduro run in a reliability format. And just like a reliability enduro, it's a two-day event, this one taking place in the Rio Grande National Forest in South Fork, Colorado, July 23-24. The enduro will be sanctioned by the AMA, Rocky Mountain Enduro Club (RMEC) and WestChec. The organizers says it has "lined up more than 150 miles of roads and trails."
